Love the illustrated glossary. More pix please. (And uji is what again? Grain? Bean? Has Sam made peace with it?)
PS: ck out 7/19 public editor column in Week in Review re: underwriting of investigative reporting from ProPublica and Spot.Us. Potential sources of funding when you revisit the farm a few years down the line?
I'm dying to know what that cord running along the front of Duma is about. I'm not so naive to think that they're stealing the neighbors cable....however, it is a great way to save on the electricity bill!
those interested in getting prints, we will re-update with higher quality
pictures when we return to America.

Our Thanks and Gratitude
We would like to offer our thanks and gratitude to the following people for contributing the resources to help make this project happen:
Deb Boltas and Hanalyn Davies, Jeremy Fisher,
Deborah Fried, Mr. and Mrs. Gelband, Paul Gelburd, James and Nancy Goldstein, Nancy Guarisco and Alan Orland, Ellen Kanatt and Fred Groen, The Hamill Family, Paul Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell, Amit Oren, Karin Render, Paullette Rosen and Michael Volmar, Janet and Seth Rosenberg, Nancy and Adam Rosenberg, Ellen Schwartz, Jeanne Steiner and Will Rosenblatt, Michelle Sugg, Defne Veral, and Mr. and Mrs. Workman
Our main benefactor: The Katherine Wasserman Davis Foundation
Our grant proposal, a public document, makes it clear that we are blogging about our experiences, and at our initial meeting we informed the NGO's steering committee that we are keeping a blog and to tell us if they did not want to be mentioned in it. Through the blogging process, we have chosen to discuss some of the inner-workings of the NGO. We agreed that in addition to offering informed consent, it would be ethically prudent to change individuals' names and the NGO's name to protect their privacy as much as possible. If you have qualms about any of the material included in the blog, please contact us.
